2016 VBS  One Day Fun Day

Food for the Journey

St. Paul Lutheran along with Calhan United Methodist Church are hosting a day of fun on August 4^th from 9am-4pm!

Where: United Methodist Church

Who: Children ages 4-14

(Older children encouraged to be helpers)

Join us for song, bible stories, food, and activities. Please bring a non-perishable item for our local food pantry.

The Calhan Lions Club is sponsoring Kids Spree on Saturday, August 6 at the Falcon Walmart and we need your help.

Shoppers—take a child shopping for school clothes on the day of Kids Spree.  The time commitment is from approximately 7:30-11:30.   The kids come at 3 different times during the morning.

School supplies— deadline for donations is Tuesday, August 2.

• 1 inch 3 ring binders         ·   Filler paper (college and wide rule)
• Colored pencils                 ·    Pencils
• Backpacks                      ·   Mechanical pencils
• Cash donations—the Calhan Lions’ Club Foundation is a 501c3 organization so your donations are tax deductible.  The cost of shopping for 100 kids is approximately $10,000. This is funded by grants and donations.  Kids Spree is a yearly event that helps kids get new school clothes and supplies that they would otherwise be unable to afford.
