Memorial Day Remembrance

A special prayer on Memorial Day — As we remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we enjoy every day, we think of how they have followed in the footsteps of your son, our Savior, Jesus Christ. Please hold our servicemen and women in your strong arms. Cover them with your sheltering grace and your presence as they stand in the gap for our protection.  We also remember the families of our troops. We ask for your unique blessings to fill their homes, and we pray your peace, provision, and strength will fill their lives.  May the members of our armed forces be supplied with courage to face each day and may they trust in the Lord’s mighty power to accomplish each task. Let our military brothers and sisters feel our love and support.  In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Weekly Family Sunday School Recordings and Activities

Click on link.   Sparkhouse Family Sunday School

It’s an at-home Sunday school video that families can enjoy together without parents having to step into the learning facilitator role they may be exhausted by after the week’s e-learning.

Each episode runs about 13 minutes and includes a Bible story from the lectionary, songs, and activity ideas. A new episode will posted every Tuesday through the lesson for Trinity Sunday on June 7.  “We hope this series helps support faith formation ministry during these challenging times.”

IMPORTANT CONGREGATION INFORMATION FROM OUR CHURCH COUNCIL

St. Paul Lutheran Church will follow the synod recommendations and remain closed for in person church service through the month of May.  The synod continues to follow what health department recommendations are and right now that will be to continue what we are doing and remain online for the month of May.  As we continue to get further updates from the synod we will pass that on to our members.

We want to move forward with an abundance of caution, so we are remaining with online services through the month of May.

Thank you for your patience through all of this.

In Christ’s Love,
Jeanette

Be a volunteer…

If you would love to help and to serve during this most unusual time, just give Andrea or Pastor Harvey a call at the church.  There are a variety of ways in which you can serve.  Maybe you have a talent in reading, or in offering prayers, or even picking up groceries, just let Andrea or Pastor know.
