St. Bartholomew

Bartholomew, a disciple of Jesus, is the patron saint of tanners, bookbinders, leatherworkers, butchers, plasterers, shoemakers, and couriers. Scholars believe he was complimented by Jesus, saying “here is a true Israelite. There is no duplicity in him.”
